When your enquiry is received the office will send an information folder about the service which contains the service user guide, confidentiality policy, a request for “information about me” guide to medication policy, terms and conditions and membership form.

The Manager will follow this up and visit you to carry out a care assessment and plan a support package together. Relatives, friends or other family members are welcome to attend the meeting.

The Manager will make a second appointment to carry out a risk assessment. The care plan will be written up and monthly payment terms agreed. Before start of the service Personal Care Assistants will be introduced and matched to you personally.

The Manager will leave the Caring Support home file with the client with a written record of all the information and procedures.

Our Recruitment of Homecare Assistants

All Homecare Assistants are carefully selected and interviewed. References, Criminal Records Bureau checks and POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) checks are carried out before they are employed.

All staff members attend induction training and regular refresher sessions. They are supervised and supported to provide a high quality of care to people with a wide range of disabilities and illnesses.

Regular review and monitoring of the home care package and risk assessment will be carried out, ensuring that any changes in circumstances are always taken into account.
